Welcome

I am the Interim Department Chair, Assistant Professor of International Studies in the Department of International Studies, Modern Languages, and Political Science, and Assistant Coordinator of the Taiwan and East Asia Studies Program in the Center for International Studies at the University of St. Thomas.

I am currently serving as the Book Review Editor of American Journal of Chinese Studies, Coordinator of Conference Group on Taiwan Studies (CGOTS) at the American Political Science Association, Vice President of the North America Taiwanese Professors’ Association, Vice President of the North America Taiwanese Professors’ Association -- Texas Chapter, and Editorial Board Member for East Asia Quarterly.

I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from Texas A&M University and a B.A. in Political Science from National Taiwan University.

My research focuses on political attitudes in authoritarian countries, political violence, and Taiwanese and Chinese studies. My teaching interests include international studies, comparative politics, and research methods.
