Our Path to Peace Events

JUNE 5, 10am to Noon – Interfaith Youth Core – Location: TBA
Register at: http://ifcy.eventbrite.com
The Interfaith Youth Core builds mutual respect and pluralism among young people from different religious traditions by empowering them to work together to serve others.

At this very informative Brown Bag, youth workers (professionals who work with or on behalf of youth) will explore the faith component to the Our Path to Peace Toolkit including exploring personal opportunities and barriers to conversations of faith, how to talk to youth about faith, and why faith is important to promoting peace. This Brown Bag is open to ALL youth workers regardless of faith background (including those that don't view themselves as having a faith background).

This is sure to be one exciting and educational opportunity. And we guarantee your mind will expand.

July 24, 5pm to 7pm – Finding Stillness, Creating Space – Location: TBA
Register at: http://fscs.eventbrite.com
The YDPN is proud to collaborate with Sangita Kumar (former YDPN Steering Committee member) and Claire Shaffer to bring you Finding Stilness, Creating Space.

Drawing from the ancient practices of Native American, Sufi, Yogic and Quaker traditions this workshop brings simple tools to restore and revitalize your personal and professional routine. Sometimes the busyness of everyday life leaves little room for the important work of connecting to your inner voice, leading from conscience, and finding supportive connections in a positive, holistic way.

In this two-hour experience we combine gentle yoga techniques to loosen the body and mind with artistic tools to share, connect, and manifest the lifestyle you deserve and choose.
