Presentation

I am an economist at the Center of Economics and Management of Indian Ocean based at the University of Reunion Island. I am also research associate at International Migration Institute at University of Oxford and at the Institute of Research and Information in Health Economics (IRDES) in Paris. I am specialized in the linkage between migration and health. My main research concerns the determinants, the consequences and the policy implications of medical brain drain for origin developing countries. More recently, I have focussed my research on the socioeconomic determinants of health immigrants in Europe.

Background

I have completed a PhD in Economics from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne. I have also received a Masters in Empirical and Theoretical Economics (ETE) from the Paris School of Economics and a Masters of Development Economics from University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne. Prior to joining IMI, I was a research fellow at the Institute of Research and Information in Health Economics (IRDES) in Paris.
