I am an economist at the Center of Economics and Management of Indian Ocean based at the University of Reunion Island. I am also research associate at International Migration Institute at University of Oxford and at the Institute of Research and Information in Health Economics (IRDES) in Paris. I am specialized in the linkage between migration and health. My main research concerns the determinants, the consequences and the policy implications of medical brain drain for origin developing countries. I have also focussed my research on the socioeconomic determinants of health immigrants in Europe.

I am currently working on the IMMIDEV project funded by FEDER at the University of Reunion Island. This research project will investigate the links between migration and human development in French Overseas territories in terms of education, health and labour market integration.


I have completed a PhD in Economics from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne. I have also received a Masters in Empirical and Theoretical Economics (ETE) from the Paris School of Economics and a Masters of Development Economics from University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne. Prior to joining the University of Reunion Island, I was a research fellow at the International Migration Institute at the University of Oxford and at the Institute of Research and Information in Health Economics (IRDES) in Paris.
