Yasir ALi, phd

My name is Yasir Salih. Born in August 14 1985 from Sudan. I have obtained my high school certificate from Mukram School Kassala city Sudan. In 2004 I have joint University of Khartoum pursuing Bachelor in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In 2006 I was granted scholarship from PETRONAS to study at their University in Malaysia where I have completed my BSc. (Hons.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2009. In 2011 I have obtained master degree from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia. My research interest is in computer vision and robotics. I have worked on area related to skin segmentation, robot navigation and visual surveillance. I have also work as a programmer for visual surveillance project and for Bactria quantification in wastewater project. Current I am pursuing a joint PhD program with both university of Burgundy in France and university Petronas in Malaysia. My PhD work is on robotic mapping. I enjoy reading books, playing futsal and sometimes swimming.
