- O Say Can You See!!! Star Spangled Spectacular - A 10-day free festival that celebrates the 200th birthday of the national anthem. Tall ships, Navy gray hulls and the Blue Angels will return to Baltimore’s Inner Harbor to celebrate the Star-Spangled Banner. Landside festivals include re-enactments, a family fun-zone, live musical performances and Chesapeake Bay food and beverages. Events crescendo on September 13 with a star-studded patriotic concert and extraordinary fireworks display over Fort McHenry and the Baltimore Inner Harbor.

We are thinking about organizing the renowned YPRCC Cruise Fleet, heading to Baltimore during this event. We need to act early to reserve dock space, etc.
Possible travel plan:
9/8/14 Depart R2 Corrotorman at 0800 on ebb tide for Sandy Point on Wicomico.
Sail with slack water then a flood current into the Wicomico. Distance 28 nm.
9/9/14 Depart Sandy Point at 0800 into
flood current until rounding Wicomico light then go with the last half of the
flood to Solomons Yachting Center, Solomons, MD. Distance 40 nm. Make
reservations at Solomons Yachting Center.
9/10/14 Depart Solomons Yachting Center at 0800 against a flood current until rounding Drum Point then carry the flood to South River off R8 to anchor. Distance 39 nm.
9/11/14 Depart anchorage at 0800 for the Inner Harbor, Baltimore to anchor off the Anchorage Marina off the West Channel. Distance 32 nm
9/12/14 Depart anchorage at 1000 for Inner Harbor Marina. Distance 1 nm
9/15/14 Depart marina at 1000 for anchorage off the Anchorage Marina. Distance 1 nm.
9/16/14 Depart anchorage with tall ships to return home. Distance 122 nm.______________________________________________________________________________________________
