Without this gentleman's contributions to his own site, blogs and forums there would be no Zealous. He is responsible for keeping the Zeal community alive in Japan by creating his own site dedicated to his Zeal which has had thousands of views. A lot of the information on Zealous was found on ZeaL xx Blue's website.

Jun is another heavy contributor to the Zeal community in Japan. His website hasn't been updated in some time however it's still viewable (ZeaL Station). I used a lot of the information from his site to build Zealous, I hope he doesn't mind.

Changed 99' headlight to round version. Also Paul repainted his bike to a beautiful Candy Apple Red using rattle cans. See his posts here: http://www.netrider.net.au/forums/showthread.php?t=115120#.T5aj2dVefxW

Purchased in 2010 (on Christmas Eve!) as a learner bike. After fixing bent forks (from a previous crash) and minor service it ran well for 12 months until it started to stall when the throttle was released abruptly (e.g. E-stops). Turned out to be vacuum leaks in the carburetor. After several months off the road, it is running well again after replacing all perished seals and gaskets in the carburetor. Identifying the OEM part numbers using the manuals on this site was invaluable to allow ordering the required parts over the 'net!

Next projects are to replace the clutch lever and housing (both worn out), right front indicator lens (broken screw housing) and the left engine mounting bolt cover (missing). Both mirrors have also started rattling ominously - the dreaded rust monster is obviously at work behind the glass! OEM mirrors are $72 each (best price I can find) so may look for aftermarket alternatives instead.

Then it will be time to consider fixing the dent in the fuel tank (done by a previous owner - probably in the same accident that bent the forks!) and respraying to fix the current 'tri-tone' look. Also looking for an original OEM toolkit (missing).

"This was my first bike, purchased in 2006. Soon after this pic, I hit a kangaroo and unfortunately had to replace the bikini fairing. It should still be riding somewhere around Canberra with a single Suzuki headlight. I'm about to buy another Zeal, you should see it up soon."

"Bought as my first and only bike after hunting around. Spotted it and new it was the one!

35,000 on the clock when purchased, has been a warrior since then without giving me any real problems, while teaching me a lot and keeping me excited.

Great first bike!"
