I am a Professor in the Department of Economics at the College of Business and Economics, University of Wisconsin - Whitewater.
My research spans labor economics, health economics, public economics, and applied microeconomics. I am keenly interested in empirically examining how public policies shape individual choices and long-term socioeconomic outcomes, drawing on natural experiments and rich administrative data. Some of my prior work investigates how policy designs affect criminal behavior and how potential offenders respond to incentives. I have also conducted a range of studies on how social programs and policies influence the lives of women, children, and youth, affecting their health behavior, educational attainment, reproductive choices, and intergenerational outcomes.
