I am a Professor at National Mobile Communications Research Laboratory, Southeast University, Nanjing, China. Prior to that, I have been with University of Liverpool, UK, Technische Universität Berlin, Germany, EURECOM, France. I got my PhD degree from Télécom Paris (now Institut Polytechnique de Paris), M.E. from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), and B.E. from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China.
In general, my research expertise lies in information theory, communications, and machine learning. My research focus is to apply various mathematical tools to solve engineering problems in wireless communications and artificial intelligence trustworthiness. In particular, I am currently looking into the following problems:
AI for Wireless, with focus on topology-aware intelligent communication systems leveraging the interplay between coding and learning on graphs.
Trustworthy AI, with focus on theoretical foundations (e.g., generalization and adversarial robustness) of deep learning.
Graph Machine Learning, with focus on theoretical foundations (e.g., expressivity, stability, generalization, transferability) of graph neural networks.
