I am a Professor at the National Mobile Communications Research Laboratory, Southeast University, Nanjing, China. Prior to that, I have been a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the University of Liverpool, UK, a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Technische Universität Berlin, Germany, and a Research Assistant at EURECOM, France. I got my PhD degree from Télécom ParisTech (now Institut Polytechnique de Paris), M.E. from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), and B.E. from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China.
In general, my research expertise lies in information theory, communications, and machine learning. My research focus is to apply various mathematical tools to solve engineering problems in wireless communications and AI safety. In particular, I am currently looking into the following problems:
AI-driven Communications (AI4RAN), with focus on MIMO transceivers, channel estimation/prediction, multi-cell/cell-free MU-MIMO precoding/resource allocation.
Trustworthy AI, with focus on generalization and adversarial robustness of deep learning models, and their applications in wireless communication systems.
Graph Machine Learning, with focus on expressivity, generalization, adversarial robustness of graph neural networks, and the applications in wireless networks.
