I have joined Google as a software engineer in 2012, working on Dynamic Search Ads.

Before joining Google I spent a year in AQR Capital. Before that I was a researcher in the Internet Services Research Center of Microsoft Research. My work was focused on web search, especially on searching structured data on the web and query intent analysis.

I received my Ph.D. degree in May 2007 from the Department of Computer Science at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, with my thesis on Scalable Data Mining. I graduated from Tsinghua University in 2001 with a B.E. degree in Computer Science, and I received M.S. degree from UIUC in 2003. My research at school was mainly focused on link analysis and multi-relational data mining.

My email is my first name at gmail.com.
