I am currently an assistant professor at Department of Computer and Information Technology and adjunct assistant professor at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Purdue School of Engineering and Technology, Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. 

I received my Ph.D. from Faculty of Computer Science, Dalhousie University, Canada, and I received my B.E. from Department of Computer Engineering and Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China.

Before I joined IUPUI, I worked in both industry and academia as a researcher and post-doc fellow. 

Currently, my research areas include bridging the research outcomes to the electrical medical record systems, personalized health care, personalized and privacy preserving anomaly detection.

Oct. 24, 2017:  I am current looking for PhD and Masters students to work with me on projects by applying natural language processing, machine learning, text mining and big data analytics technique to health trend prediction, preventive health care integration, network management, predictive intelligent systems and so on.
