Please read the following instructions very carefully. All policies/rules made by the instructor on the course syllabus apply.

Please use no PC/Mac, no iPad, cell phone or any other electronic devices during class. Exceptions for computer usage will be considered with a note from doctors or the Disability Services Office.

Attendance to each session is expected, except for excused absence following the university procedures. Please note that you can only have two (2) unexcused absences possible which counts both class and lab attendance; beyond that, absences without excuses will definitely hurt your grades.

Class participation is considered very important in this class. In each lab session I will present to you review questions and/or exercises that help you understand class materials and prepare for exams. The best way to do that is to actually do the practices. I also encourage you to form groups of three or four students for discussion.

The assignments of the lab sessions, which would usually be due by end of each session, follow the homework policies made by Ms. Allison Lowe Reed. If you miss a lab session and thus fail to submit your assignments on time, please contact me asap for make-up. Make-up assignments are accepted within 24 hours of the due time but only 50% of the grades are possible. No late turn-ins will be accepted after 24 hours.

I will make the lecture notes that I use in class possible after I finish all teaching on each Friday via emails. Also, I will send out answers to assignments. I welcome you to ask questions related with this class during my office hour or by email.

Office hour - Spring 2013: 2:00 - 3:00 pm Wednesday, or by appointment.

A Friendly Note: You are welcomed to send me emails for questions relevant to the class/lab, but please expect my responses during business hours (9:00-17:00 M-F). An email sent at 2:00 am or on Saturday might not reach me very well.
