They don’t know who he or she was, but a log truck driver was pulled from the burning vehicle by a good samaritan. A call came in Tuesday morning of a tractor-trailer that had overturned on Highway 2 and burst into flames. The FHP reports 45-year-old Michael Curry, of DeFuniak Springs, was driving the international semi loaded with logs on Highway 2, just east of 331, when it drifted onto the north shoulder. Curry was unsuccessful in his attempt to recover the vehicle on uneven ground. It rolled onto its right side and became engulfed in flames. Curry was pulled from the burning vehicle by an unknown passerby.
Charges are pending further investigation. Curry is listed with serious injuries.
