Multi PA-Premier Section B 10

1. Introduction

This policy is designed to cover persons of class I and 2 occupations whose income is not less than RM3,500 a month.

This policy provides double indemnity for Death & Permanent Disablement as a result of an accident whilst the Insured person is overseas and traveling as a passenger in or on any mechanically propelled, non-aerial, public conveyance (cable cars included) provided the duration of stay abroad does not exceed 90 days consecutively.

If both husband and wife take up the cover, they can choose to insure their child/children (from I month up to 23 years old on condition that the child/children are fully dependent and engaged in full time education) at a nominal premium of RM15 per child.

2. Scope of cover


The cover offered under this Policy are :
 
 a.Accidental Death100% of capital sum insured
 b.Permanent DisablementBased on a certain percentage of capital sum insured depending on the severity of the disablement.
 c.Financial ObligationUp to the limit of sum insured to pay the Insured Person's outstanding
financial obligations on housing loan and motor loan up to 6 months repayment and the outstanding
balance of Credit Card at the time of the accident.
 d.Temporary Total DisablementWeekly benefits up to Max 52 weeks
 e.Temporary Partial DisablementWeekly benefit (not exceeding 50% of the weekly compensation per week) Max 52 weeks
 f. Medical ExpensesUp to the limit of sum insured
 g.RecuperativeLump Sum payment ofRM5,000 for hospitalization due to accident for 5 or more days consecutively
 h.Repatriation (Overseas) Actual expenses incurred up to the limit of sum insured for transporting the mortal remains back to Malaysia
 i.Bereavement BenefitRM5,000
 j.Hospital Income (hospitalised due to accident in excess of 5 days consecutively)Up to the limit of sum insured per week up to 365 days, No compensation for the first 5 days.
 k. Personal LiabilityUp to the Limit of indemnity

No compensation for death or permanent disablement (item a & b) shall he payable unless the death or permanent disablement occurs within twelve calendar months from the date of accident.

All sums paid or becoming payable for temporary total/partial disablement (item (d) & (el above) shall be deducted from any sum which may subsequently become payable under item (b) above.

Financial Obligation Benefit (item c) is payable in addition to Death or Permanent Disablement (item a & b) Benefit.

3. Extensions

The following risks/perils are covered by the Policy :
a) Water sports
b) Water skiing
c) Hijacking
d) Strike
e) Riot and Civil Commotion
f) Amateur Sports
g) Harmful insect bites (dengue fever included)
h) Unprovoked murder and assault
i) Drowning

k) Smoke and poisonous gas
I) Food and drink poisoning
m) Natural perils such as earthquake
nl Volcanic Eruption
0) Tidal waves and lightning
p) Intoxication
q) Winter sports
r) Scuba diving
5) Hunting
t) Mountaineering (excluding use of rope)
u) Polo playing
v) Disappearance
w) Exposure to natural elements
x) Flying as a passenger in an aircraft licensed for the         carriage of passengers

The age at the time of taking up the insurance from 16 to 65 years old. Renewable up to 70 years old.


7. Declined Risks (Any accommodation of such risk is to be referred to Head of Underwriting and Technical Support/Risk Review Committee)

7.1 Air crew, Pilots

7.2 Explosive handlers/makers

7.3 Military and Law enforcement officers

7.4 Oil Rig workers

7.5 Professional entertainers 

7.6 Seamen 

7.7 Jockeys

7.8 Professional sports team

7.9Professional rally drivers (motor sports)
