Attaching patches

Now that you have patches stitched up and finished, it's time to attach them to the tee shirts.

Gather your supplies: Wax paper, stencil brush, Aleene's "OK To Wash It" fabric glue, patches, tee shirts

Place a piece of wax paper between the layers of the shirt and squirt out a dollop of fabric glue

Get a generous amount of full strength glue on the brush and dab it onto the back of the patch.

Allow patch to stand 3 to 5 minutes.

Turn the shirt inside-out, place wax paper between the layers, and dab on more full strength glue onto the shirt.
Be sure to cover the entire patch area and make sure that the patch and shirt have full contact.

Allow glue to dry undisturbed for 24 hours.

There you have it!  Wait 7 to 10 days before washing to allow the glue to set up completely.

Send your patch project photos to me.  I'll display them on Your Talent Showcase.

For your convenience, I have posted a PDF copy of this page below.

Have fun!
