About Us

Hello...…my name is Jason Randolph (most folks call me JJ). I have been guiding professionally for 25 years. I grew up hunting ducks and geese on the Platte River in Nebraska and the Missouri River on the Nebraska/South Dakota border. Growing up I was privileged to hunt with some of the finest waterfowlers in the Midwest . From them I learned the nuances of world class calling and great dog work. WyoBraska Waterfowl is based in Torrington, Wyoming, on the famed North Platte River. This magical valley winters well over a 250,000 ducks and geese. We concentrate on Mallards and Canada Geese.

I hunt in western Nebraska as well as eastern Wyoming . I have the finest field and river locations in the area. Our goose fields are farmed and managed for Canada goose and mallard field hunting. Our river locations on the North Platte offer some of the finest Mallard hunting anywhere.

I also offer spring snow goose hunting in southern Nebraska. Click on the Spring Snows tab for information.

In the summer and early fall I guide fly fishing for trophy trout for the North Platte Lodge in Alcova, Wyoming. The NPL offers the ultimate experience in fly fishing and accommodations on the banks of the Grey Reef section of the North Platte River.

Blinds and Pits

River Blind 2014

My blinds and pits are simply the the best you have ever hunted from. They feature dog entry doors; heaters for every hunter (one pit has electric baseboard heating); plenty of room for blind bags and gear; comfortable shooting chairs; shooting boxes for youth and  "altitudenally challenged"  hunters; front shelving for shotgun shells, coffee cups and thermos; a unique sliding lid system that provides complete concealment yet allows you to watch the birds as they work. No hiding under plywood lids or having to come up through 'grass' lids with WyoBraska Waterfowl. Even with cold temperatures, snow and biting winds you are warm, dry and protected from the elements.

At WyoBraska Waterfowl we don't believe you have to suffer while hunting waterfowl!

Why Choose WyoBraska Waterfowl
  • Our guides have over 40 years of professionally guiding experience.
  • We have the finest field and river locations in the area. All on private land.
  • Little pressure on the birds.
  • Over a quarter million Mallards and Canada Geese winter in our magical valley.
  • Comfortable, warm, dry, well-concealed blinds and field pits.
  • Seasons extend into February with liberal bag and possession limits.
