The scribe-in-chief, Bruce Kauffman, works independently as a writer, reporter and editor for newspapers, magazines, television and the Web.
He produces brochures, press releases, Web site copy and promotional material for corporations and institutions. He also writes speeches and commentaries for top executives in both the private and public sectors.
Kauffman's reporting from the field during the wildfires of 2003 helped win prestigious awards for the daily North County Times in Escondido/Oceanside, California, where he covered business, education and general assignments for seven years before setting out in 2005 to work more on his own terms.
He has since served as the public communicator for San Diego Mesa College, chief blogger for television's The Boomer Show with Brian Christie, profile-raising consultant and writer for attorneys and business managers, writing coach, and ground-breaking freelance reporter.
A news/editorial graduate from the master's program of the School of Journalism of the University of Missouri at Columbia, Kauffman teaches writing, reporting and the dynamics of mass communication at Palomar College in San Marcos, California.
