The Justice for Children Advocacy Center (JFCAC) provides a child friendly, developmentally appropriate environment for children who are victims of sexual or physical abuse.  At the JFCAC, we provide comprehensive child-friendly services to children who are victims of abuse and suffer neglect, and their non-offending caregivers.  The JFCAC is designed so that a child only has to tell what happened to them once to a professionally trained forensic interviewer, while law enforcement and the child protection officials observe in an adjoining observation room.  At the JFCAC, we have on-site contracted medical staff who conduct child friendly, forensically competent medical exams as needed.  Victim advocacy is also provided to victims and their non-offending caregivers to provide support, encouragement, appropriate referrals to community resources and advocacy with services as needed.  In addition, on-site trauma focused clinical social workers  provide individual and group therapy to start the healing process so that children receive the help they need in order to grow and thrive.

In addition to our on-site staff, the JFCAC works as mart of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) made up of law enforcement, Department of Social Services Child Protection workers, the District Attorney's Office, The County Attorney's Office, Mental Health Providers and other service providers such as RESTORE Sexual Assault Services and the YWCA just to mention a few.  The MDT approach allows the JFCAC to provide "wrap-around" services as well as a team perspective on each individual case.
