Free Movie Premiere - Dendrite Studios "Out of the Shadows"

posted Jan 28, 2011, 12:08 PM by Cory Tarilton
On Friday February 11th we will be hosting a movie premiere in Fraser Hall 4 at 6 p.m. This film comes to us from a local film crew based out of Whistler, B.C in their first year as an independent film company. They took home a prize at the International Freeski Film Festival in the category of Big Mountain Movie which is outstanding for a first year company! Any of you who have skied W...histler before will likely recognize their lines or maybe even their faces, as most of the footage was filmed inbounds and in the surrounding backcountry of Whistler-Blackcomb. Many of the riders featured in the film have competed and placed on the Canadian Freeskiing Championship and Subaru Freeride World tour.

Attendance at this event will help gauge their interest in our hosting of their next film this fall, so make sure to come stop by and support us and them by buying the movie online from their website! If you like the film you can buy it from their online store for as little as $1.99!!

From their website:

Proudly shot in the mountains of British Columbia, Out of the Shadows features the finest athletes who have been in the shadows for too long. This is their shot and their opportunity to break out on film. They bring their lives with them and shred the mountains with un-inhibited passion on a daily basis. We bring you their stories.

Featuring: the return of PY Leblanc, the forgotten legend Chris Turpin, World Champion Brett Crabtree, Swedish sensation Jon Larsson, and a giant swarm of new comers including Maxim Arsenault, Eliel Hindert, Christian Boucher, Dave Treadway, Mathieu Gagnon Theriault, Matt Elliott, Ian Watson, Dave Gheriani, Adam Topshee, Alex Blais, Athan Merrick and Jake Cohn.

Produced, Directed, Shot, and Edited by Nicolas Teichrob and Athan Merrick of Dendrite Studios.
