How to Upgrade

Upgrading to the next referee grade provides both tangible and intangible benefits.  It opens the door to rewarding, higher level match assignments (some of which require a minimum grade level for the assignment), and some leagues or tournaments pay higher game fees to higher grade referees.  Additionally, it places you immediately into an elite subset of referees around the nation – only 3% of which are at grades higher than Grade 8.  Meeting the requirements for the upgrade exposes you to advanced training and development that will improve your skill and ability as a referee.  The process also prepares you to serve as a valuable mentor and resource for newer referees whom you can guide in their own development.
