Part of WU-SLam's purpose is to send a team of four poets and one alternate each spring to compete in the Association of College Unions International (ACUI) College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational, or CUPSI.

CUPSI is a massive poetry slam in which teams from colleges across the country compete against each other.  It is an experience like no other.  During the weekend, a community of diverse and talented poets forms.  The team members share their work with an audience of other poets and absorb an immense quantity of great writing.

You can see videos of the Slam Team performing at Nationals on YouTube.
For more information about CUPSI, see ACUI's website.
