After working in TSE for a few years instructors become aware of issues. These issues, most of the time, deal with the instruction of our students. At other times they deal with administrative or other issues. No matter, we all must deal with these issues in some manner every day. This site is an attempt to shine a light on some of the issues by stimulating thought and discussion. Three of us have written papers that deal with selected issues. You will find our papers below as Attachments. We addressed these issues at the recent October conference in a workshop entitled... what else but "Controversies in TSE". Below, please find our papers dealing with the following topics:
Signaling at Roundabouts; Unprotected Left Turns; Use of Simulation; Use of the Left Lane; Securing and un-securing; Blind Spot Checks; and Teaching to the Test.
None of us are experts. We are just teachers and administrators that wanted to address some of the issues we deal with every day... but never find time to look into. Again, the hope is to stimulate thought and further discussion. If you have some thoughts on our work or on future issues we could address on this website or at our next conference, please feel free to address your thoughts to me, Skeet Gaul, at the following email address: email@example.com
