Classes are planned for two locations: Ellensburg campus, and Des Moines Center (near Federal Way) enrollment permitting.
SED 382 Driver Task Analysis (3 credits)
MTWTH 7:30 a.m. – 8:40 a.m.
Introduction to traffic safety education, the highway transportation system, driver task analysis, classroom instructional techniques.
SED 481 Teaching TSE: Classroom and Simulation (3 credits)
MTWTH 1:30 p.m. – 2:40 p.m.
Additional lab time will be scheduled tba
Methods, materials and techniques for teaching classroom and simulation. Experience in teaching beginning drivers is provided. Prerequisite: SED 382 or concurrent enrollment.
SED 482 Teaching TSE: Behind-the-Wheel (5 credits)
MTWTH 8:50 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Additional lab time will be scheduled MTWTH between 10:00 – 12:30
Methods, materials and techniques for teaching in dual-control vehicles. Experience in teaching beginning drivers is provided. Prerequisite: SED 382 or concurrent enrollment.
SED 484 Safety Program Supervision and Organization (3 credits)

Development and management of a total school safety program. Prerequisite: SED 382 or concurrent enrollment.
