Inside the Dream Sessions - Volunteers Needed

We have been supporting this charity for several years and are committed to providing jewellery for the girls again this year.  If you haven’t heard of "Inside the Dream", this is a charity that provides prom dresses and accessories for young women who are graduating but can’t afford to go to the prom.  These kids have overcome obstacles we can only imagine and they deserve to celebrate this milestone.  The candidates for the program are sponsored by a teacher, a school principal or a social worker.  Click the following link for more information about Inside the Dream:  https://www.insidethedream.org/

We need volunteers to help at the WTBG jewelry table on the Monday, May 8th Inside the Dream Boutique Day at Mississauga, Convention Centre. If interested talk to Camillia or email: secretary.wtbg@gmail.comNote: All interested individuals must pre-register on-line with Inside the Dream (indicate you will be working the WTBG table)

Summer Bead Challenge

  • Each participant is asked to bring a handful of beads, findings and/or trinkets to fill a small bag provided (2 ½” x 2 ½”)
  • At the May and June meeting the bags of beads will be traded (swapped) with another member who also brought a bag
  • Each person can trade with someone else up to 3 times
  • They can make anything they want and as many items as they want, to be able to use up all the items in the bag
  • If someone doesn’t bring a bag of beads but they want to participate, we will be selling the small bags for $5.00/bag
  • Have fun with this project over the summer and bring your creations to the September meeting

Our purpose is to bring new and experienced artists together to learn, create, and share our knowledge in an inclusive, positive environment.
Our monthly meetings will be filled with fun, laughter, creativity and wonderful artistic adventures.
We strive to contribute to our community through charitable works and promote our art form to new generations.

We will strive to provide a supportive, fun and respectful atmosphere that will encourage our members to excel at all of their creative endeavours.

At the West Toronto Beading Guild we value each and every one of our members, volunteers, guests, and executive.  We work in a cooperative manner, respect our differences and talents, are loyal to each other and promote integrity in our craft and to the arts community.
