2nd International Workshop on Sustainability and Green Technologies

Held in conjunction with 3rd European EMA 2 gLINK Project Meeting, March 6-8, 2017

 Danang, Vietnam

In recent years there have been considerable interest and research activities in Green Economies and Technologies aiming at addressing sustainable and smart living and societies. Advanced solutions in green technology need to be developed to support a wide range of approaches, systems and applications in existing and future societies in the areas of Energy, Chemistry, Buildings and cities, Sustainable computing and communications and environmentally preferred purchases, only to name a few.

In addition, the convergence of multi-disciplinary research and education should be considered to achieve optimised solutions. This second workshop, organised by the European gLINK project (Sustainable Green Economies through Learning, Innovation, Networking and Knowledge Exchange), invites research contributions on this wide subject. The workshop aims to bring together researchers, scientists, designers, developers and practitioners from academia and industry working across a wide range of topics in green economies. It will provide a forum for academia and organizations to present and discuss the latest research and development findings as well as to foster collaboration networking.

Topics of interests include but are not limited to:

Research work describing advanced prototypes, systems, tools and techniques and general survey papers indicating future directions are encouraged. The workshop aims to cover the thematic areas with focus on sustainability and green technology over a wide range of application as supported by the gLINK project. Contributed papers are invited in, but are not limited to, the following topics:

  • Green sustainable energy systems
  • Energy monitoring, profiling and measurement
  • Energy-aware process optimisation
  • Smart homes
  • Green urban spaces
  • Green transportation and distribution
  • Next generation of energy-efficient lighting system
