Public Safety Power Shutoff Site

Notice of an open meeting about recent power outages. 

Do You Have Questions About Public Safety Power Shutoffs, those that specifically occur in the Greater Warner Springs area?  Come to the Warner Springs Community Resource Center for a Q & A with representatives from SDG&E.

When: Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Noon
Where: Warner Springs Community Resource Center located at 30950 Highway 79 (across from the school).
Why: Let your voice be heard and get your questions about power shutoffs be answered directly by SDG&E representatives.Light refreshments will be served.

If your power off due to a Public Safety Power Shutoff please call us at 760-782-0670 to see if we are open. If we are open, come on over to recharge cell phones, use the Wi-Fi, or to cool off or warm up. Note: Potable water is available outside 24/7.

The Warner Springs Community Resource Center has been selected and outfitted by SDG&E to be a power and water resource for area residents in the event of an extended (24 hours or more that includes the Resource Center) Public Safety Power Shutoff.This is when when the power is shut off due to greatly heightened wildfire threat, most typically caused by Santa Ana winds.

Hours will vary based on each shutoff event. SDG&E and/or Center representatives will provide up-to-date information, and basic needs like water, snacks and a place to charge cell phones.We will be equipped with air conditioning/heat, Wi-Fi and water. 

Please refer to this page for updates on whether the Center will be activated as a power resource during an outage.

SDG&E normally alerts customers in affected areas by phone. Customers who sign up for outage notifications will also be contacted by their choice of phone, email and/or text. SDG&E's website, social media platforms, and news media outlets will also be used to broadcast information about areas affected by Power Shutoffs and resources available.
