Open Forum

A complaint was received from a member of the public concerning overgrowth adjacent to the first set of Council Houses. It was noted that this was the responsibility of Lancashire County Council and they were to be contacted to rectify this. In order to ensure the overgrowth did not become worse it was agreed that the Lengthsman would trim the overgrowth on this occasion provided this was acceptable.to the County Council.

Provision of Broadband in Lune Valley

A presentation was made by C Conder from B4RN and it was resolved to offer full support for this project. Cllr Staveley to prepare a draft statement outlining support. It was also resolved that the Parish Council will arrange a public meeting at a date to be agreed to promote this item.

Lengthsman

Cllr Staveley reported that there was a good level of support for the work of the lengthsman and the quality of the work carried out. It was resolved that the schedule of jobs for the agreed time of 3 hours a week in the Churchyard would be arranged with the Church directly.

Concern was expressed at the level of dog fouling in the village. It was noted that the dog waste bags have been purchased and are available in the Wray Post Office. The availability of these bags will be advertised in the Wrayly Mail.

Road Safety

Concern was expressed by Councillor Edge for the safety of pedestrians on the road between Wray & Hornby. There were no resolutions on this matter

Gas Supply in Holme Close

Councillor Edge raised the question of a potential gas supply into the vicarage through Holme Farm Close. It was confirmed that this road is adopted and that any further action on this matter was to be left in the hands of the Church and the owner of the land under which services would be provided
