Open Forum

Concern was expressed that some roads have been identified incorrectly. This will be raised with Lancaster City Council once more. A request was made to put the appointment of a new Councillor on to the agenda for the next meeting.

PACT

 

PC Carl Wood made a short presentation on PACT. He advised that the 3 priorities for the Police in the area are 1)Speeding

2) Farm crime  3) Appleby Fair Policing matters.

He reported few incidents on the day of Wray Fair and thanked the Institute for their support.

It was resolved to spend up to £100.00 to obtain signage regarding parking restrictions.

a.   Approval of payment to Lengthsman Scheme £4550.00

It was resolved to approve this item.

 

b.  Approval of Clerks Expenses £26.01

       It was resolved to approve this item

c.   Review of rent for land.

It was resolved to maintain the rents as charged for 2010-11 but apply a 5% increase for 2011-12

d.  Consider matters relating to the purchase of land at Harterbeck

It was resolved to for a small sub committee to consider matters relating to the available land and for them to report back to the Parish Council

Lengthsman

Cllr Wallace advised of the appointment of the new Lengthsman and also concerns on the amount of time that it will take him to complete all works in the Churchyard in relation to his other activities. CW also requested a map showing location of drains and services to assist the Lengthsman

It was resolved that the Lengthsman will be instructed to spend no more than 3 hours of his allotted weekly time in the Churchyard as part of the Lengthsman scheme.

Cllr Edge presented an update on LAPC matters and advised that Lancashire Local is to cease and be replaced by another as yet undisclosed format.
