The West Pennant Hills Valley is a great place to live. Your local residents' association, the West Pennant Hills Valley Progress Association, is the group that gets things done in our corner of the world. For more than 25 years the group has worked towards: - improving our roads, traffic flow and public transport
- advising Council in relation to safety issues and facilities in our parks and open spaces
- identifying what residents in the Valley want
- making our needs known to Council and other levels of government.
Over the past few years, active lobbying has contributed to
- A better outcome for the rezoning of the IBM site
- installation of bus shelters
- safer parking at Carmen Drive shops
- remediation work to Blue Gum Creek
- safer pick-up/drop-off zone at Oakes Rd/M2 bus stop
Currently, our main concern is working to achieve the best outcomes for Valley residents during the development of 55 Coonara Ave (IBM site - now owned by Mirvac). We are also lobbying for a direct bus service through the Valley to Parramatta.
