Scouts, Cubs and Beavers

10th Warrington West Scout Group is linked to St Mary’s church. We meet at the Scout Hut on Highfield Avenue, at the back of the church hall.

Scouting is open to boys and girls of all ages and abilities. It aims to promote the development of young people in achieving their full potential as individuals. It does this through an exciting and adventurous programme of training, activities and awards.

The sections of the group and age ranges are described below.

Beaver Scouts (aged 6 to 8 years) enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visits and helping others. They meet on Mondays from 6 to 7 pm.

Cub Scouts (aged 8 to 10½ years) get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting. They meet on Mondays from 7 to 8:30 pm.

Scouts (aged 10½ to 14 years) undertake an exciting programme including lots of adventurous and challenging activities. They meet on Thursdays from 7 to 9 pm.

Scouting relies on adult volunteers to deliver the programme for young people and for many supporting roles. If you feel you can spare the time to help out in any way, we will be pleased to hear from you.
