Poverty Solution

There is a tug of war between conservatives and progressive socialists with regard to how one should deal with the problem of poverty. The focus of the argument revolves around the role the government should play in helping people get out of poverty. Conservatives believe the role of government should be very limited and should help solve poverty by providing more opportunities for work. This involves providing public policy that frees the market place to produce more jobs through increased economic activities and business development. Progressives prefer that the wealth of richer people be confiscated and redistributed according to what they determine is a fair redistribution. In essence they wind up stealing from the rich to give to the poor. However, history has shown this system has never worked. Even here in America this system was tried through Lyndon Johnson's "War on Poverty" and the welfare programs.

The following video by Praeger Videos presents a biblical solution for the poverty problem.
