Pakistan Boys Scouts Association (PBSA) will hold the 22nd National Speech Contest on Seerat-un-Nabi for rover scouts tomorrow (Thursday).

Talking to APP, Director Training Programmes PBSA Abuzar Mansoor informed that the rover scouts would share their thoughts on the topic ‘Seerut-un-Nabi: Beacon of Light for the Youth’.

The scouts from all over the country would participate in the speech competition wherein the federal minister for religious affairs would be the chief guest on the occasion, he said.

The winners of the competition would be awarded Rs4,000, Rs3,000 and Rs2,000 for the first, second and third positions respectively. They would also be given shields and certificates.

One rover scout from each region of Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, NWFP and FATA would participate, while two rover scouts, each from AJK, Northern Areas and Islamabad would participate. The contestants would be between 17 to 25 years and would speak in Urdu.

Dhaka, Feb 28 (bdnews24.com) – Four Dhaka University students started a 100 mile walk on Sunday from Srimangal to Jaflong to try and win President's Rover Scout Award.

Dhaka University Rover Scout Group in a press release said Harun-or-Rashid, Rafiqul Islam, Ismail Hossain and Abdul Jalil started for Jaflong at 6:30am on Sunday and were expected to reach there on Mar 4.

They will visit various schools, press clubs, Upazila Nirbahi officers and deputy commissioners on the way.
