Date: Tuesday, November 29
Location: Courtright Memorial Library (1st Floor)
Each panel of the AIDS Memorial Quilt will be unfolded and prepared for display. Names of those lost to HIV/AIDS will be read and a video will be streaming with details about the specific people memorialized on the quilt panels. Each section measures 12' by 12' and includes 8 individual panels. Each individual panel is dedicated to someone who has been lost to AIDS. Otterbein University will display 10 sections of the quilt from Tuesday, November 29 to Wednesday, December 14.
The AIDS Memorial Quilt project began in 1987. Panels have been donated from all over the world. There are currently about 91,000 names memorialized on 1,293,300 square feet of fabric.
