What's new

25.3.2018 - Turnusi in sestavljeni turnusi z veščinami

The image below demonstrates the by-shifts method of entering staff-composition requirements. Remember that you may switch to the by-period method, (second image below) at any time you like. When you switch from one to another, Woshi automatically converts between formats in which employee counts and time-durations are listed (while of course maintaining all numerical values).

2012-04-02: We added The Staff-count-graph utility onto the Gantt-diagram. Additionally, the Gantt-diagram is now sort-able.

There is a new button on the Gantt-diagram. The button opens the staff-count graph. The staff-count graph shows you in sheer numerical sense, how many employees are at work at given times. The time axis of the attendance graph overlaps with the timeline of the Gantt-diagram. It simply gives you a head count as opposed to the by-name basis of the Gantt-diagram. It updates along with the Gantt-diagram whenever the Gantt-diagram whene is updated.

Staff-count graph:
  • The bright-green histogram represents the maximum allowed number of workers.
  • The dark-green histogram represents the minimum allowed number of workers.
  • The black line represents the number of workers on the currently arrived at schedule-solution.
  • The numbers for each hour appear as you hover over the diagram.

2017-02-25: Schedule Criteria

The so called "Criteria" always were, and always will be a most central element of the WoShi scheduling method. You may reshuffle the ratios between the different criterions, to create your own priority list among different aspects of the schedule. Example: You may put a comparatively large weight on making sure that your employees don't always work the same shift, and a much smaller weight on maximizing the lengths of the daily off-periods for your employees. Woshi will thus make sure that the same employees don't always work the same shifts, even in cases where that might came at the cost of daily off-periods being closer to the minimum. (The "minimum off-period", being whatever it is that you had set in the Rest hours section of the New schedule input form. It could be that you set the legislated minimum for the area where those employees that are scheduled by the schedule in question as the minimum; or it could be that you added an hour or two to the legislated minimum, and entered that as the minimum. But that does not matter. Do keep in mind nevertheless, that the more you added to the legislated minimum of the daily resting period, the less leeway you are leaving to WoShi to optimize your employees shift sequences.)

You set the organisation default for the criteria, in the Criteria section of Master Data. You may of course leave these settings at the default values, provided by the service provider.
For each new schedule that your set out to create, you may come up with a new set of criteria. You will do so on the home page, among the active schedules.
