Campers will explore the Midcoast with an emphasis on fun while being active outside during the summer!

Woolwich Community Recreation's Summer Adventure Camp includes daily activities that encourage participants to explore and learn about Midcoast Maine's natural resources. Each day will highlight something different with the culmination of the week being an overnight camping trip to Swan Island campground in Richmond. Activities will be physical and will happen rain or shine so participants should be prepared. Fishing, hiking (reading trail markings, map literacy, plant/animal identification), kayaking, archery, outdoor cooking, and camping will be our emphasis. Daily activities will begin at a different location each day including the town landing at Nequasset, DeWick Farm on Phipps Point Rd, and at the ferry launch to Swan Island Wildlife Management Area in Richmond.

Leaders of these adventures will include:
• Kelsie Tardif, The Nature
Conservancy and Woolwich
• Mary McCauley,
Registered Maine Guide
• Kennebec Estuary Land Trust
(KELT) Land Stewards

(There is a camper limit for this camp due to the various hands-on activities. Please register to save a spot for your camper!)
