Directions to Woodhill

Direction to Woodhill from East Athens, Downtown Watkinsville and Crawford

From East Athens Using Lexington Road

Go east on Lexington Road, US Highway 78, several miles past Wal*Mart. The road narrows as businesses end and you enter the country side. Just after passing a perpetual care cemetery on the left, you will come to a
stop light. Turn right here onto Morton Road. Continue on Morton several miles until it ends, teeing into Belmont Rd. Turn left on Belmont Road and go about a mile and a half. Bob Godfrey is the first road to cross
Belmont Road (there is no stop sign on Belmont). Just before this intersection, you will see a riding stable on your right and a church will be visible past the intersection on the right. Turn left onto Bob Godfrey Rd and go 0.2 mile down the hill. When you see a red brick Georgian house on the left, slow down and turn your left turn signal on.
Go another 0.2 miles and at the next patch of trees on the left you will see the Woodhill sign. Turn left here but be careful and watch for cars behind you in your rear view mirror. Occasionally drivers don't notice your turn signal and try to pass you on the left. The driveway winds about 300 yards through the woods to Woodhill Retreat Center. Please park in the gravel parking lot on the left.

From Downtown Watkinsville

Go south through downtown Watkinsville, past Oconee Bank, the County Court House and the downtown area, to the first light south of downtown. Turn left here on Barnett Shoals Road (90 degree turn just past Town Center on left). Go about 6 miles, crossing the Oconee River and at the top of the next hill, the defunct Green Hills Country Club will be on your right. Continue straight; the road curves slightly to the right and its name changes to Bob Godfrey Road. Go a mile or so on Bob Godfrey until you come to a stop sign. This is the intersection of Belmont Road and Bob Godfrey Road. Continue straight from the stop sign for about 3  tenths of a mile. When you see a red brick Georgian house on the left, slow down and turn your left turn signal on. At the next patch of trees
on the left you will see the Woodhill sign. Turn left here, but be careful and watch for cars behind you in your rear view mirror. Occasionally drivers don't notice your turn signal and try to pass you on the left. The driveway winds about 300 yards through the woods to Woodhill Retreat Center. Please park in the gravel parking lot on the left.

From Crawford Using US 78 West

Go west towards Athens from downtown Craford about 4 or 5 miles on US Highway 78, and turn left onto Wolfskin Road just past Oglethorpe Animal Hospital on your right. Go about 7 miles on Wolfskin and you will cross over the Big Creek bridge (just after Double Bridges Road). Then you will start heading up a hill and will come to the Athens-Clarke County / Oconee County line. Here Wolfskin Road changes it's name to Bob Godfrey Road. Continue past the county line signs a hundred yards or so and you will see the a small Woodhill sign and a gravel drive on the right. Turn right here. The driveway winds about 300 yards through the woods to
Woodhill Retreat Center. Please park in the gravel parking lot on the left.
