£20k MUGA Grant

We have just been notified that The Norman Family Charitable Trust have awarded us a grant of £20,000 towards the building of a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA). When added to the £25,000 s106 money from EDDC, this brings the current total up to £45,000.

£9k Grant from Coastal Recycling

Country Fayre Raises over £900

The 2nd Annual Woodbury Country Fayre, which was held on Saturday 20th September, raised £940. Thanks to all those who helped organise the day and to all those who attended.

The 2nd Annual Woodbury Country Fayre will be held on Saturday 20th September 2014 on the Playing Fields between 11am and 5pm.

Party for the Park

Party for the Park is taking place at the The Maltsters Arms on Saturday 9th August 2014, from 7pm to midnight.

Live music, disco, bouncy castle, BBQ and refreshments.

Children choose their preferred Play Park design

After the committee selected the three designs that best met our design criteria, we went to the children and asked for them to vote for their favourite. Gaining just over half the votes was the design by HAGS SMP. Shown below is the design that the children voted for. There may be a few adjustments to the layout, but we hope that picture will be a fair representation of the new Play Park. The project will commence once all the funds are in place.

Play Park receives £500 Boost

We've just received another grant towards the new Play Park. Lord Clinton's Charitable Trust has kindly given us £500 towards this project.

£10,000 from The Exeter Foundation

The Exeter Foundation has confirmed that we will receive £10,000 funding for play equipment in the new children's play area.

Locality Budget Grant

Cllr Bernard Hughes has awarded Woodbury Community Playing Fields £941 from his locality budget towards the installation of notice boards and picnic benches on the playing field. Along with the £458 from a previous Woodbury Parish Council grant, we now have nearly £1,400 towards this part of the project.

Cash in the Community

Woodbury Community Playing Fields have won through to the final of the Cash in the Community competition being run by the Exeter Express & Echo, in conjunction with Western Power Distribution. 43 community groups have been selected to share a prize pot of £25,000. Each group is guaranteed £450, with up to £2,500 being available for the best supported project. All we have to do is collect the tokens from the paper between 29th May and 26th June and pass them onto one of the committee before the end of June.
