The focus theme for WoNGeN 2008 is Next Generation Wireless Networks including GENI.   GENI is an NSF sponsored program that is widely tipped to become a form of future Internet. However, GENI is still in its early infancy and there is a critical need for solutions to many problems that GENI or similar next generation Internet architectures face.

Original and unpublished research contributions are invited from the areas including but not limited to the following:

  •  Architectures for next generation wireless networks
  • Next Generation Wireless Internet Design
  • Quality of Service Provisioning in next generation wireless networks
  • Multimedia support for  next generation Internet
  • Cognitive network architectures for future Internet
  • Issues and concerns for GENI architectures
  • Revolutionary designs for next generation architectures
  • Cross layer architectures for next generation Internet
  • Prototypes of next generation Internet architectures
  • Performance analysis of next generation wireless networks
  • Solutions for multimedia support in next generation wireless networks
  • Cognitive network controller design
  • Performance evaluation of cognitive networks
