Connecting women who study and work with water

Our mission is to develop a network of women scientists and engineers in developed and developing countries to promote research in water treatment and water resources with a focus on the education of future women scientists and engineers and the betterment of conditions for women in developing countries.

We are currently working on creating webinars, carrying out a survey on women in leadership positions in the water sector, partnering with other organizations, and hosting a Women and Leadership in the Water Sector Forum at the 2018 EWRI Congress.

Please contact us if you are interested in participating in any of these tasks.

Our featured researcher is Laura Schifman. Laura is an environmental scientist who is bridging various disciplines such as environmental engineering, hydrology, public health, and ecology to understand how urban environments function and how they can provide benefits to humans.
