Basic Gynecology

Our confidential and specialized services are provided by a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics &             Gynecology determined to support our patient’s efforts to create and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

At the time of your scheduled visit we will establish a conversation with you in order to             assess the issues that are pertinent to your overall well being.

Then we will perform an examination which will include a pelvic exam to evaluate the size and position of the vagina, cervix, uterus and ovaries. This procedure helps detect certain cancers in their early stages, infections, or other reproductive system problems.

In addition, a soft brush may be used to take a sample of cells from the cervix. This is called a Pap test (or Pap smear). The purpose of  the Pap test is to look for signs of cervical cancer or pre-cancer .  A cotton swab can also be used to test for sexually transmitted infections.

We will also examine for breast disease, assess pelvic pain management, discuss                     management of fibroids or endometriosis and any other issue in regards to women’s health.

Our minimally invasive in-office procedures include ultrasounds, colposcopies, birth control, LEEPs, endometrial biopsies, endometrial ablations, cone biopsies, dilation & curettage, among others.
