(2016)  Gretchen Huesmann was the speaker for the 2016 retreat. Gretchen, who lives in Jackson, Wisconsin, has this to say on her personal web site:

"Hi! My name is Gretchen and I’m a recovering self-perfectionist.  My life’s journey has included discovering my need for a Savior. His name is Jesus.  Though I strive to follow Him, I’m forever falling short!

I live in Wisconsin with my best friend and husband of 25+ years.  We’re raising four great kids, two that are young adults in college and two that are still in high school.  Oskar, our cat, thinks I’m the Queen of the Universe. The rest of the world knows the truth. I’m a less-than-perfect wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend.

My imperfect journey includes teaching women about the Bible, speaking for women’s events, and once in a while, I’ll still substitute teach because I’ll never get the classroom out of my blood.

Reading, writing and being outdoors refreshes me.  Gardening during the short Wisconsin summers also fills my bucket."
