Neumann wins Pathfinder Bank Oswego Hockey Classic

The Neumann Knights shut out the Oswego State Lakers in Saturday night's championship of the Pathfinder Bank Oswego Hockey classic by a final score of 3-0, to win the tournament. Steve Gervais, Cory Park, and Jordan Zalba tallied goals for the Knights. The Lakers took four misconduct penalties, with a total of 62 PIMs in the game. It was the first time the Lakers had been shutout in nearly 10 years (1/18/02 vs. RIT), and a first for the Campus Center Ice Arena. In round one of the tournament, Neumann defeated Hamline 5-3 while Oswego knocked off Connecticut College, 5-1. The consolation game went to a shootout, a first for the Pathfinder Classic, with the Camels prevailing for a 4-3 win. Final tournament standings:

2. Oswego State (1-1)
3. Connecticut College (0-1-1)
4. Hamline (0-1-1)

The Lakers are next in action with a pair of home contests against Curry and Utica on January 13th and 14th. WNYO will have both games.
