Welcome to the Leys Badminton Club website. The club has been established in Witney for the past 64 years, and is a Badminton England Affiliated Club. We are always pleased to see new faces, so do come and visit us. The club is split into junior and senior sections, with the junior element currently for ages 8 to 17. The club offers a mixture of competitive and social play and has 7 teams in the Oxfordshire Badminton Leagues.

The 2019 -2020 season will commence at 19.00 on Wednesday 4th September 2019 for Juniors and 20.00 for Seniors. Club night is on Wednesday at Wood Green School, Woodstock Road, Witney, Oxon, OX28 1DX. (Map), from September to the end of April.
Match nights tend to be concentrated on Fridays from 19.30 until 22.30 during the same period.

Leys has one Level 2 and two Level 1 Badminton England qualified coaches who work closely with Oxfordshire Badminton Association and the Oxfordshire Sports Partnership to offer coaching to its members.

The Club uses feather shuttles for all club play and matches.

There is a summer club and for 2019 this will commence on Wednesday 17th July from 7.30pm until 10pm. It will then be held on every Wednesday until the end of August. All are welcome to attend, including visitors. The cost is £5 per person per visit. Please pay on arrival.

The season for the junior club is currently over, but a waiting list is in place should you wish to place your child on it for starting again in September 2019. Contact Millie at juniormember@witneyleysbadmintonclub.org.uk to do so.

The Senior Club currently has 12 lady members, and would welcome more, so if you are a competent lady player and would like to return to badminton, or have moved into the area, please come and see us, or contact Norman at Chairman@witneyleysbadmintonclub.org.uk if you have any questions.

Witney Leys Badminton Club is pleased to work with West Oxfordshire District Council in promoting Individual Development in Sport whereby some of our coaches have been in receipt of grants from the Council to assist with their training and development.
