The 4th Wisconsin CCDC qualifier competition will be on February 22nd from 9 to 5 pm. Teams need to be ready for competition by 8:30 am and the results will be announced by 6pm.

Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition, known as CCDC, is a national cyber-defense competition that allows college students to test their IT security skills on mock corporate networks against attacks by professional pen-testers and security researchers. CCDC has grown considerably over the years, attracting new talent on both the attacker and defender sides. The CCDC event has a simple mission, it aims to develop the IT security professionals of tomorrow and prepare them for the realities of working in the field of information security. The CCDC events also have another goal: helping organizations to identify talent in the ever-growing field of information security.
The first Wisconsin CCDC state competition was held in March of 2011 and Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) won that competition. The second Wisconsin CCDC state competition was held on Friday February 24th, 2012.  Milwaukee Area Technical College won the 2012 Wisconsin CCDC. Northeast Wisconsin Technical College won the 3rd Wisconsin CCDC.
