A Contact Form note from former Guild Member Nancy Simonson

"Wandering Vine Weavers, a weaving group based in North-Central Wisconsin, have made arrangements for a memorial scholarship in Marty Scheuerle’s name at Sievers.   Since Marty was a member of your guild and ours, I thought some of your members might be interested in what arrangements we’ve made.

It will be used for someone to attend a weaving class.   Marty enjoyed going there and attending different classes throughout her weaving journey, so this is a fitting remembrance for her.   We did the same type of memorial when Carol Elliker, a friend of Marty’s and another weaver, passed away a few years ago and it was a great success.

If any of your members are interested in giving, please send your donation directly to Sievers.
Please include a note that it is in memory of Marty Scheuerle.
Their address:
  • Sievers School of Fiber Arts
  • 986 Jackson Harbor Rd
  • Washington, WI 54246"

Guild Meeting
The Program for September has changed again.   Life circumstances intervened.   In lieu of a speaker on short notice, Members should bring in any antique handwovens that they have and we will have a sharing, put on our Sherlock Holmes hats and decide structure and fiber.  Perhaps someone's Great-aunt Mabel's table runner will give you your creative spark.

In addition, if you have a gamp, color or structure, that you have done in the past, please bring it along, as well.  Our Guild Challenge this year is a Color Gamp and we're going to discuss gamps in general and then some ideas on color gamps.
