Description:

This stunning quilt was designed by Jill Finley of Jillily Studio.  You might know Jill and her work.  She lives in Herriman, Utah.

A theme of circles, stars and scallops draw your eye around from the center of the quilt to the borders.  We will finish the quilt in a fabulous new scalloped binding that I will teach you in class.

Jill used fabric from her "Monday, Monday" collection in fresh, crisp colors of coral, gray and white.  These fabrics are easily found on fabric.com or on other various websites.

Fabric/Supply list:
4 1/2 yards white print for background
3/4 yard of coral patches print - this print is for center circles and scalloped border
3 yards of coral bird print - this print is a dark coral pink to be used in all the points around the circle stars and in the outer border of scallops.  Should read as a solid and be of a medium dark value to stand out and accent the stars.
1/4 yard coral vines print - for the center of the stars (a medium value small print)
3/8 yard of coral lines print - for the center of the stars (a medium value small print)
1 1/4 yard gray blooms print - a small blue grey print that is used as center of the stars and the scallop binding
2 yards of gray main floral print - This is a focus fabric and should be something you love to offset your circle of stars that are gathering around the center star.  We will also use this fabric for the outer border of the quilt under the first scallop border.

Cutting Instructions:
Prior to class, please come with enough fabric cut to make your Large Star Block and the center star blocks.  (See page 2 on instructions).  If we have time, we'll piece the center section as there are fun ways to make this all happen.  So come with at least that much cut out.  I'll then teach you how to make scalloped borders my way and how to make a fun new scalloped binding.

I'm excited about this class!  Let's "Gather Round" and make another fabulous quilt!
