Description:   
We will use basic applique and basic foundation paper piecing combined with a little bit of curved piecing to create a masterpiece block that can be put together in your choice of three different ways.  Pictured is the original layout but the pattern includes two alternate layouts.

Fabric requirements: 
5 1/3 yards background (if fabric has less than 42" usable width you will need more yardage)
83 prints - 4" x 21" OR 39 prints - 4" x 42"  OR 576 pieces 3" x 4" scraps
5/8 yard Solid (red quarter circles in photo)
2 3/4 yards print for arcs (teal print in photo)


Supply List:
Applique Needle
Applique Glue
Freezer Paper - at least 36" long x width of roll
Mechanical Pencil
Paper Scissors
Fabric Scissors

Threads to match your fabrics - I used cream for piecing, red for hand applique on the red quarter circles and teal for hand applique on the arcs

Basic sewing and quilting supplies

144 photocopies of Foundation Piece 1 (this is included in the pattern)

Add-A-Quarter ruler 6" or 12" length (optional, but very handy)
