Description:
Although I categorized this as intermediate, I never want to discourage anyone willing to learn.  This is an applique pattern, but can be done by machine or hand.  I will teach you how to prepare the applique shapes by spray starch pressing, so each shape is just as identical as you can get, and very easy to applique in place using either method. 

Fabric/Supplies:

2 yards each background of 2 different fabrics
1 1/2 yard white for snowman
1 yard total various greens for trees
1/4 yard brown for tree trunks
Various orange scraps for carrot noses - at least 2 1/2" x 5"
Various plaid scraps for scarfs
Various red scraps for hearts
32 extra large black snaps or black buttons for eyes
Straw or milliner needle for hand applique
Metler or YLI applique thread OR clear thread if machine appliqueing
1 piece No Melt Mylar Template - available at Joann's - 12" x 18"
Spray Starch
Paper Scissors
Basic sewing kit including machine
