My Alternative Spring Break Experience...

Welcome to my site!

I am a graduate student at the University of Michigan's School of Information.

In the Spring of 2012 I donated my spring break through UM-SI's Alternative Spring Break (ASB) program.  During ASB I worked for an independent research library in Washington DC, The Folger Shakespeare Library. This site documents my experience with ASB and the work I did during my Week and the Folger.

I was also asked to write a post for the Folger's blog, The Collation, which you can view here: http://collation.folger.edu/2012/03/librarians-gone-wild-an-alternative-spring-break/

Finally in addition to participating in ASB I was an active member of the ASB fundraising committee. I was a member of the ASB Historical Preservation Crowdrise Team and raised $1,115.00 for ASB. The "Acknowledgements" page on this site recognizes those who donated to help make ASB possible.
