France_Burgundy_Cote de Beaune_St. Romain

This might be the most overlooked appellation in all of the Cote de Beaune. Near the Hautes-Cotes des Beaune this has extremely cool climactic conditions that are generally unfavorable for ripening grapes. Reds will always be rustic in St. Romain but whites can be polished,
fresh, not oaky and mineral. Not many are imported into the USA but the ones that are are worth a look.

St. Romain can typically be found for $25-$40

Notable Recent Vintages: 2010, 2009. 2008, 2005, 2002
