"Hail to Bees" is an updated band sampler stitched using DMC cotton floss with cross stitches and some specialty stitches on 28ct Country French "Cafe au Lait" linen. This was inspired by my summer garden, love of bees, and antique band samplers. The approximate design size of the piece is 6 x 16 inches. Complete directions for the specialty stitches are included with the directions. Framing by Angel Johnston. This chart sells for $11.00.
Hail to Bees Sampler
"Dainty Ladies" is stitched using DMC cotton floss with cross and half cross stitches on 28ct "Glen Ellen Blend" linen by R&R Reproductions. In the piece, Agatha and Euphegenia are on their porch sharing some home-made wine after a long, hot summer day. The scent of summer flowers are heavy in the air. The approximate design size of the piece is 10-1/2 x 7-5/8 inches. Framing by Angel Johnston. This chart sells for $11.00.
Biscornu seem to be all the rage now. Mosaic tiles inspired the pomegranates in this design. And French just sounds so lovely. Around three edges it reads "Le petit poule bleu est parmi les pomegranites" (translation: The little blue hen is among the pomegranates). On the fourth edge is the little blue hen. On the back, I repeated some of the pomegranate shapes, added my initials and the year. You can make yours plain or fancy. Two buttons (one for the top, one for the bottom) came out of my button collection. Stitched on 28 count Cashel "white" linen the finished biscornu is about five inches square. Fibers used are luscious colors from Gentle Art. Finishing instructions are included with the chart which sells for $7.00

I live in orchard country and do a lot of home canning in the summer and fall. "Blackberry Hill" came about as a bi-product of making blackberry jelly. When I had juiced the berries I put a piece of aida in the remaining mush and let it sit overnight. The next day I had a purple piece of cloth. After running it through the washer and dryer I had a much lighter, but still light purple, piece of cloth. Unfortunately, it was 22 count aida. My mind was already working on a design that would pay homage to my favorite blackberry jelly as well as the orchards and farms around me. "Blackberry Hill" is stitched on 28 count "Rose" Cashel linen using Crescent Colours, Gentle Art and Weeks Dye Works overdyed cotton flosses. The approximate design size of the model is 12 x 12 inches. My husband and I made the frame and I painted it. This chart sells for $11.00
Marry Me Brittany
Brittany and Logan are two of the most delightful young people I know. They were married on Valentine's Day and I wanted to do something special for them. I had been working on a fraktur-style wedding sampler, so this is dedicated to them. The chart comes with a complete German style alphabet so you can put your couple's inititals in the heart. The piece is about 10-3/4 x 11-1/4 inches and uses DMC cotton floss and two Kreinik (formerly Balger) blending filaments as well as some Mill Hill petite seed beads. The model is stitched on 28 count "Flax" Cashel linen. This chart sells for $11.00
